Tick Tock, Clarice

Wow, it's been a couple days! I went out to the house on Friday (nov 2) during preschool, and was concerned when I saw Moseley (our version of Guardian) was on site. We hadn't ever told anyone where we wanted stuff! Two phone calls and a chat with a technician later, the PM agreed to meet me there and go over some stuff. So I got to walk inside my new house for the first time! And yes, that's both officially and unofficially, I hadn't gone in on the sly either. ;)

Our PM has been really good about our non-standards and stuff...I asked about framing in the living room openings so that we can put in french doors down the road and he didn't have a problem with that.  We got most of the details nailed down (ha!) and he let me hang out and take some more pictures.  It probably helped that it was lunchtime!

In other news, today our Realtor and independent inspector went through the house with the PMs.  There were apparently a few fairly minor framing issues but otherwise it was good.  They'll be sending me the official report once it's typed up.  And our pre-drywall meeting is Thursday morning!  Time to go pore over the blogs to find all the questions I need to ask!  Feel free to link to your list if you've got one, or someone else's if you know who has it!

I won't be able to go to the house before our pre-drywall meeting, most likely, but I'm hopeful we'll have shingles up.  And a basement door that's in the right place!

    1. Yay!!! Was your lot cleared? It looked like they were getting ready to work on it when I was there but there wasn't any machinery yet.
