Who wants Tab?

A couple quick things...I've added a "Progressive Pics" tab up top with my two spots, and I'll be updating them as I get them.  Still hoping to do the animated picture thing, but I don't know how yet.

I also updated the "Selections" tab to include our brick choice and the shingle color, in case anyone was interested in those.

There's now a tab that has "Rome Elevations" as well, all the variations I could find.  So far the only cottage elevations I have are the L and the N...seems pretty likely that elevations exist for J, K, and M, but nobody's posting them!  Maybe the cottage elevations are still pretty new?  Anyone know?

And if you find any new bloggers, please let me know so I can add them to my master list!  I'm keeping the tab updated just as soon as I find them.

I'm working on my "Helpful Links" tab as I find things, so right now it's pretty short, but if you have any recommendations let me know!

Since I'm here, how about a picture of our cleared lot?  :D

Isn't it beautiful? I know, it really isn't. But it's REAL!

And in this one you can see some of the other houses in the neighborhood...the ones on the left were pre-existing, but the ones on the right are Ryan Homes.

When we started looking here, Ryan Homes hadn't actually gotten any houses started yet...and there's three in that picture, plus three more continuing in my direction that you can't see.  It's starting to look like a neighborhood!

  1. We have some pics of the K elevation with porch & partial stone. It's the elevation ours will be & the elevation of the model we saw (they're not the greatest pics, I'll be sure to take better shots the next time I go to visit the model). http://koehlerhaus.blogspot.com/2012/08/take-tour.html

    1. Interesting! That looks almost identical to the L, but with a porch. I was expecting it to look more like a B, with the peaks to the side instead of centered. Maybe my theory is not correct! Did you change your elevation? You have L in your selections post. :)

    2. Sorry, I goofed. We are going with the L (because I preferred the centered peak), which is the same as the model.

    3. Oh, okay! Maybe my theory is still good, then. :)

  2. You are on your way Amanda that is awesome!!

I have pictures of L and K. I will post them on my page so you can snatched them to add to the tab. Are you able to post the model pictures on a tab too! I would like to grab those photos but I couldn't get them from the flicker stream.

    1. Okay, okay, they're up, they're up! Sheesh! ;)

I really don't like how blogger does pictures, so I gave up on labeling or arranging them. Give me flickr any day!

  3. Hi Amanda,
I am the one building the Capri with the same color combo as your Rome...we have full siding and brick done so I am going to attach a link to a picture of my home so you can get a sense of what your combo will look like. Happy Building!

My brick is Savannah Moss, though I originally choose Grand Carmel also :-)

    1. Hi Chianne! Are you on our street? Is one of those houses yours? I don't have any bloggers building a Capri yet, you should join the fun!

It won't let me look at that picture (says my google account is unavailable, which makes me think it's trying to show me through YOUR account, which won't work!) but I'd love to see what our colors look like. :)

    3. No, I am not on your street, I am building in Chester, VA. I would love to blog (I think that I will do a summary of our journey later, its been a crazy ride) but I am in New York waiting for the house to be finished and it's not as much fun as being there hands on. I will email you the pictures...I think you will be pleasantly surprised...I was!

I'll send it right now :-)
