Who framed Roger Rabbit?

We have framing!  The rear stud wall, the floor beams for the main floor, and part of the garage are up!  This is where they were at 2pm today...we're neck & neck, Nadase!!  :D

Facing straight on

A little more to the side

Back of the house

North side of the house (looking into our side-entry garage)

I intend to tell my PM that I really, really, REALLY want to be able to watch the roof go on, in the hopes that he'll let me know when they get close.  Juuuuust in case I'm a bad judge of how long it'll take to get there.  We got to be part of a Habitat for Humanity house building several years ago, and I was part of the group putting the roof on...it's super cool!  And I'm so relieved that they're going to be able to take advantage of this gorgeous weather we're having.  I know they say it's not a big deal if the wood gets rained on, that it'll dry out...but if it never gets wet, I don't have to worry about it, now do I?  :)

Let the lot-stalking commence!

    1. lol...it'll be hard to actually creep, since I'll have my two boys with me almost every time I go by. Saturday I just happened to be up that way for a photography thing so I took full advantage of my ability to go around back by myself without leaving kids in a car I can no longer see!

  2. Hi Amanda, this is very interesting!! The workers must have a method to their madness because we are working with the same timeline and everything looks so different. WE are definitely neck to neck! LOL I am sure you will get a kick out of seeing the ROOF going UP! I love being out their with the workers. We went back tonight and they did a fantastic job getting the floors in tack. Not sure if they plan to work tomorrow, so you know what that means--DRIVE BY!

    1. They're definitely not the same, are they! But they seem to be getting a similar amount of work done. I'm betting they don't work on Sundays, but we never know...so yes, DRIVE BY!!! :D

    1. Hey, if I thought they'd let me, I'd totally get in there and help! How many people these days can say they actually did some work on the house they built!? :D

I'm not really a creeper...I go during bright sunlight and the workers always see me. Sometimes they wave and say hi. And since they're always working I generally stay well out of their way. I'm lucky in that the two adjacent lots are still empty, and there's no lot behind us, so I can get good shots without actually going on the property! ;)
